October 20, 2025 We had a family history activity on Friday and we made the most standard chocolate chip cookies and everyone was glazing us haha. No one believed we made them and kept asking where we bought them but hey we'll just take that as a compliment. We even saw an old lady steal one of the plates so ig we’re just Gordon Ramsey or something. They turned on coco after to so you already knew we had to take advantage of that  but sadly we could only watch 20 minutes before we had to go. It was so cool to be able to see how much my Spanish has improved and that movie is so fire. We were teaching this guy named Guido who's a bit older and we've taught him a couple times but we asked for his number so we could coordinate stuff with him. He's like oh ya ofc and gave us the number taped to the back of his phone and we texted him. The text never went through so we looked at his whatsapp and it was the wrong number. October 13, 2025 Wednesday I gave my first health blessing. We were at a members house having lunch and after they asked for a blessing for their 2 yr old daughter. My comp asked which part they'd want each of us to do and she said you do the first one pointing at my comp. My brain instantly hit the “uh oh” bc I knew what that meant. Said a quick prayer in my head you already know and the first 2 sentences were a bit rough but after the sentences just started popping up in my head in spanish and I didn't have to translate them it was so sick and great blessing. An inactive member that we’re trying to reactivate gave me a haircut named Anthuam. He literally gave me the nicest fade I've ever seen but I didn't cut the back so I have the same haircut from back home and apparently its considered a bro cut but we thought the bro cut meant the chile classic with a high v in the back so the AP's told me I couldn't get it again. October 6, 2025 The end of this transfer marks 1/8th of my mission which is the craziest statement I've ever heard. It's flown by so quickly but I've enjoyed every second of it so much it's going by way too quickly. Funny story, we were at seminary and the seminary teacher was teaching. We were playing hangman and obviously in spanish but I ended up being the one who got the word which was super cool actually. Anyways the 1st counselor in the bishopric was sitting by me and he goes “the gringo N****r got it” and me and my comp just started dying. The N word gets thrown around like crazy down here. Whenever they see a gringo they say what ever english words they know which consists of hello, the N word and some more not so nice words Transfers were yesterday and President Gutierrez releases them at night but for some reason he'll start typing and then stop so we never know when he's actually gonna send the transfers. September 29, 2025  Me and Elder Davis went on an intercambio(exchange) and we both got here at the same time so we don't speak Spanish right but it was a fire day. The gift of tongues was definitely cooking and cool to see that so vividly. We even got into a conversation not necessarily a bible bash but we knocked a house and the guy started talking about the bible and stuff and we taught him the restoration and how the BOM teaches us more about Christ. That was like 30 minutes and I understood everything besides one question he had about Joseph Smith and the gold plates so I just said I dont understand you bc I just got to chile a month ago but I know this book is true and testifies of Christ.
