March 30, 2026

bueno, so first off this week we had transfers and now I'm in my new area here in laja. There has been 2 elders here for a long time and they just added 4 and lets just say they were not prepared for that. we’ve been living in poverty.

So when we showed up the fridge was broken, there was only 2 chairs in the whole house, no where to put anything with 4 elders and 3 mattresses. but you all know that one rule where your not supposed to sleep in the same bed as your comp well ya me and my comp slept on a queen size mattress from WWII(probably) Then I was told by a guy in my old house of missionaries that theres a green jar of salt just used for killing slugs and I get here and the first thing I see is a green jar of salt. At least I haven’t seen a slug yet so that's good.

Anyways besides that this ward hasn’t had a baptism in almost a year and of the 450 members there are about 15 active so there is a TON of work to do with the members. Then no one likes the bishop and the second counselor in the bishopric is in-active and the first counselor is more or less active. This ward is in shambles but I am excited to try and help it out!

Saturday we went to a members house that hasn’t been to church in 10 years and we pretty much just laid the hammer on them for an hour and a half about not coming to church bc they said they wanted to but made so many excuses. Then they actually ended up coming and that was super exciting that they were able to come and pull up!

This sector is really pretty though, we have a little town that we have to walk across a train bridge to get over and there's an abandoned train station that looks like the coliseum a little bit(how do you spell that I have no idea so I hope you guys can tell what I tried to say)

Then the people are actually really nice here and they end up talking to you a lot they just never want to learn more and don’t give us a way to contact them. But hey the grind just continues.

Spiritual Thought:
Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God - Moroni 10:32
As we come to Christ we are strengthened in every aspect so this Easter week I encourage you to try and be more like Christ and find the peace that comes from Him.

Love you all have a great week full of Christ!
